A journey through time
The Seabreeze Deluxe Tour is a conducted tour without a guide. With the aid of an audio phone and a floor plan of the ship with the various decks indicating the anchor points, you can follow the tour route at your own pace.
The Seabreeze Deluxe Tour includes a visit to the bow and the bridge, a glimpse of the wheelhouse and all the areas at the rear and the former sports decks and the stern. You can also look round the chart room, the radio room and the captain’s cabin. This tour gives you a glimpse behind the scenes and an impression of what life was like on board in bygone days.
This tour is predominantly outdoors. The tour takes approximately one hour.

De Rotterdam was (and is) a magnificent steamship. For forty years an ingenious system of evaporators, boilers, turbines and generators in the gigantic engine rooms generated all the steam, electricity and horsepower on board. Screeching, whistling and squealing, each component did exactly what it was supposed to do. Today the engine rooms are no longer operational, but it is still a splendid sight to gaze at all the impressive machinery assembled together. What a feat of engineering, what power... Highlights include the Experience Centre, where you can journey from Rotterdam to New York in ten minutes. The engine rooms descend down to the D and F deck, the deepest heart of the ship. The power hold, the stabiliser hold, the evaporation hold, the enormous boiler room and the main control panel, let’s just say the epicentre of De Rotterdam.
